Question : On March 10, 2022, Pandit Maharaj ji had entered the Navroji Lane Upashray (monastery) despite the prohibition of the trustees, so do not the trustees have the right to decide who should be allowed to enter the Upashray and who not to allow ?
Gachchadhipati Pujya Pandit Maharaja
Any sensible person will surely understand that the trustees can never be the owners of the religious place, they are the ones who only take care and manage the administration of the religious place.
When the benefactory, have built a religious place and handed it over to Shri Sangh of Tapagachch for worship, it means that the Sadhu-Sadhvi-Shravak and Shravika, the Four Constituents of Tapagachch Shri Sangh have been given permanent consent by the benefactor of the religious place to stay there and perform their religious rituals. Now how can a trustee have the authority to stop them?
Have any scriptures given the right to the administrators to cross the restraints of religious place?
Even then, if a trustee does this, then he is guilty of treachery of the donor, the terrible crime of treachery of Scriptural arrangements. Along with this, from a legal perspective, they would be considered as criminals too.
